Nairobi University Pharmacy Students Association (NUPSA) is a non-profit, non-political, professional organization for pharmacy students in the University of Nairobi. It aims at promoting improved public health through provision of public education, a range of publications and professional initiatives.
It tracks its wealthy history from the founding chairman and current principal of the college of health sciences Professor Isaac Kibwage who formed it in 1977 and chaired between 1977-1979.
We organize various activities for pharmacy students including:
NUPSA is the most active and responsible professional body in the college of health science (CHS) which runs credible activities aimed at promoting the professionalism of its members and connecting them to the pharmaceutical industry in view of helping them suit in the changing pharmacy practice from product oriented to patient oriented role.
My objective as the chairman is to champion different programs for the pharmacy students and source for facilitation both internally and externally. We have also recognized the emerging pharmacy schools in different universities and as the oldest played the mentoring role by formation of a national umbrella association called KENYA PHARMACY STUDENTS ASSOCIATION (KEPHSA) to coordinate unified pharmacy activities across the country.
